SMANNELL AND ENHAM CE PRIMARY SCHOOL NEWS
 At the end of last term, the youngest children in the school ( 4 -7 year olds)  reminded us of the true meaning of Christmas with their wonderful re-telling of the Christmas story. 
 It was certainly a shock to Mary when Angel Gabriel told her she was going to have a baby!  But after a tiring journey to Bethlehem and difficulties with finding somewhere to stay, the bay was born.
  It perhaps wasn’t quite how Mary had expected though with animals standing around….  And then shepherds and kings arriving with their gifts.
  It is good to focus on the simple message of God’s  Love for us at a time when we can be persuaded that it is all about spending lots of money.
  I am very aware of how the families of Smannell and Enham Church of England  Primary School  
have demonstrated their love and compassion for others over the Autumn term despite the difficult financial times we are living in.  The two performances of the Nativity in the church raised £109.81 for our link school in Arua , Uganda.  Other charities that we have contributed to have been Children In Need, Seeds for Africa, The British Legion, The Children’s Society and Andover Food Bank.  Through the generosity of all those associated with the school we have made a difference to the lives of many children and adults this Christmas.  Thank you.
